Douglas District and Regional School Sport Selection Trials

The Douglas District cross-country and track and field sports are selection trials for the Regional Championships. Both of these events are held during the school day.

Students have the opportunity to attend a variety of other selection trials in order to be considered for selection in a Douglas District team, to compete at the Regional Championships.  These trials are held out of school hours.  The trials are run by volunteer teachers who liaise with the schools in the district to ensure interested students have the opportunity to participate. The same teacher will manage and coach the team at the Regional Championships.

Throughout the year, a variety of sporting trials will be held in order to select a district team to compete at the Peninsula Regional Championships. At the beginning of each school year, eligible students will be given the opportunity to express an interest in participating in these trials, in  their chosen sports.
